Friday Night Sourdough Pizza Crust

Of all the traditions our family has, this is one of the Untouchables.

NOTHING messes with our Friday night pizza!

We don’t vary it much…we’ve all got our favorite sauces & toppings.

  • Pizza sauce and bacon for Drew & Bekah.

  • Barbeque sauce and bacon for Nick and Caleb.

  • And one of EACH sauce, with bacon, mushrooms, and jalapenos for Kevin, Brendan, and Jen.

(The Collins Crew likes its bacon…pasture-raised from a local farmer, of course!😉)

Homemade mozzarella. Homemade Ranch Dressing and dried chile peppers to top it all off…

And Jen’s PIZZA YELL!

Yep…it’s always a bit of a shock for visitors, but I give a wild "P-I-I-I-I-I-I-Z-A-A-A-A-A-!” yell to call the hordes to the kitchen!

Funny story: I stayed with my folks on a Friday night after dad’s open-heart surgery a few years back. My daughter put together the pizza for the crew, and the family called me at my parents’ house for an over-the-phone yell!

But back to the pizza…

Alton Brown once said, “Sauce and toppings do NOT a pizza make.”

Here’s OUR family’s favorite pizza crust, adapted for sourdough!
